Moscow-- Mass Rally Demand Navalny's Release

In Moscow Navalny, an anti corruption campaigner arrested 17 January as he returned from Germany. He was ordered jail for 30 days but faces years in prison due to accusing of violating the terms of a suspended sentence in a 2014 conviction for financial misdeeds. Navalny has said the conviction was politically motivated.

United States press secretory Jen Pseki urged immediate and unconditional release of Navalny.

Mass rallies took place Saturday in over 100 cities when opposition leader Alexei Navalny, called for new protests next weekend to demand his release. Mass rallies turned out 10,000 across the country and Navalny's supporters urged protesters to keep up the pressures.

New Corona Virus Variant In U.S.

A new variant of Corona virus was found in a person who recently returned to Minnesota from Brazil in United States, health officials announced Monday. Health officials also worried about new variants that were first reported in the United Kingdom and South Africa.


President Biden Reinstates Restrictions-- Adds South Africa

The latest ban would prevent most non US citizens from South Africa where new strain of virus identified. President Joe Biden continued to restrict travel to the U.S. from the U.K, Ireland and 26  countries of Europe and will extend the ban in South Africa also.
But its unclear how long the ban will be reinstate.
